Mike Quartararo will be presenting together with Sandra Serkes from Valora Technologies at the MER Conference on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Chicago. Their topic, “Moving Beyond RIM: The Evolution of Information Governance Project Planning,” will address the question of how many organizations have actually developed and implemented a sound information governance plan and how many organizations recognize that information governance is the very foundation of nearly all of the processes that flow from it? Attendees of this session will not only learn that how their organizations create, store, secure and dispose of information is critical to their legal compliance and e-discovery obligations, but they will also take away a practical plan, developed within a project management framework, that they may take back to the office and begin to implement on day one. Register for the MER Conference here.

Proud to have launched a new column with Above the Law. We’re going to be writing about legal operations topics across the legal industry. Check out the inaugural column or click the button below to jump to the ATL site.
I applied to write for ATL on a whim. I honestly did not expect that just three weeks later an editor would contact me and ask that I join the team. It doesn’t pay much, if I’m being honest. But since I’m trying to launch a new company, I thought it might be good exposure for me. The good news is that I like to write. There’s something about crafting a sentence and then a paragraph and getting the words on the page to exactly convey what I’m trying to say. It doesn’t always work out that way, of course, but we do our best.
